My ride needed a bit of deep cleaning: the carpets & mats, that sort of thing. This venue not only had all these five-star Yelps but a personal recommendation from one of my other auto providers as well.
I was not disappointed.
There's no street-side frontage for this venue. You have to know to look for it. But what a find it has turned out to be!
I was a bit hesitant at first, given all the photographs of all the high-end & vintage vehicles ... and no online price list ... but I plunged into their front-of-house as an unexpected walk-in anywho.
The brothers that manage & work this shop were very personable, amicable ... and it became clear very quickly that this type of work is their passion.
I found out that a lot of those vintage automobiles came from the fact they had been entrusted to detail out all the vehicles for a retail dealer of vintage vehicles, Atomic Motors, just next door. That trust also speaks to the quality of the work here.
Eventually I was quoted $60 for an Express Detail package. That package included a lot of nice extras: protecting the interior dashboard & vinyl, a detergent scrub of the leather, pulling everything out of the trunk to vacuum it and all the cloth out, eradicating the driver's door scuffs from my dress shoes, etc. Note that does NOT include any kind of serious wax job. Also, there was an add-on cost to shampoo the carpets & mats.
When done, the car looked awesome.
Afterward, I also received a detailed ... and plainly knowledgeable ... diagnosis about the condition of my paint: swirls, etched clear coat from birds (or whatever) and options for correcting all that. (That's a bit of investment, of course, but still, I'll be asking more questions about all that upon my next visit.)
I bought this vehicle new (and I've pimped it out a bit so its still stylin'), but at its age, I agree with their diagnosis that the paint could benefit from the kinds of corrections recommended. So I read these folks as straight-shooters, not up-sellers of needless services.
AND they were prompt. I was a walk-in. They were able to work me in on-the-spot. I strolled up the street to Penn Thai for their lunch deal, then a very short wait after I returned. From walk-in to drive-away, I'd say about two hours.
The photographs posted here clearly demonstrate the quality of work these brothers deliver ... if you are investing in some serious detailing. Still, I found that my "Express Detail" was well worth the price, a clear step-above the "tunnel&kids" approach (that I abhor) or the well-above-average-quality hand in-and-out I was picking up elsewhere for about $20.
Aaaalll be bakkk.
